Rocky Mountain Rally – Volunteers

You’re getting this email because you’ve volunteered at a rally event in Western Canada in the past couple years and we wanted to let you know that the 2018 Rocky Mountain Rally is coming up on May 25 to 27, in Invermere, BC. If you think you can help out by volunteering for this event, please let us know by signing up on our online registration form.

We’ll be looking for volunteer help from Thursday May 24 through Monday May 28 for a variety of positions, including stage set-up and stage clean-up. Here is a link to some basic descriptions of some of the volunteer roles available.

Once again, Rocky Mountain Rally will offer free shared accommodations for out of town volunteers at the Copper Point Resort for Friday and Saturday nights. If your volunteer roles need you to stay Thursday or Sunday nights, we’ll cover that as well. If you have a long drive ahead of you after the event… talk to us and we’ll work something out!

We will be grouping you in suites with other volunteers, so if you are coming with others and want to share with them, talk it over with them and let us know your grouping when you register. If you are volunteering with a significant other who you’d share a bed with, let us know so we aren’t paying for empty beds! If you want to have a bit more privacy, you can book your own room and pay the competitor rates by reserving with the group discount code.

We will be having a ‘Control Captain’ meeting Friday night with the key people for each position. Anyone is welcome to attend, but this is Primarily to ensure the Control Captains are up to speed with what they need to know.

Our General Volunteer and Radio meeting will be held Saturday Morning, at 8:00, and will be more of a confirmation that you are ready to go, and a quick safety review before you head out to the stages. We will be making some training material and basic preparation documentation available well ahead of the event.

Don’t forget to use the comment box at the bottom of the form to fill us in on any important details (Rooming groups, etc.)
