Loop Rally

2014 Loop Rally

The 2014 Loop Rally is running on Saturday December 13th and will be headed south of Calgary to explore the scenic Rocky Mountain Foothills.

This is a TSD, so we won't be travelling at warp speed, but some auxiliary lights would not do any harm.

There will be an informative Q&A Session (Novice School) for people new to TSD rallying from 16:30 to 17:30 at the CSCC clubhouse.

The rally will use straight-forward navigation in a Regularity / Monte Carlo format, including challenging driving sections. Some driving proficiency will be required due to the night schedule and the nature of the event.

Total distance will be approx 635 kilometers, with 45% paved roads and 55% gravel or all weather roads.

Rallywest TSD Championship: There are still lots of tires up for grabs!

Rallywest has 2 sets of five (5) tires with one set going to first overall and another to the top novice in the 2014 TSD Championship. So far the championship is wide-open and looks to be decided overnight at the Loop.

The Loop also has some 2015 Rally Calendars up for grabs courtesy of Rallysport.ca and a couple of the ever popular "Road Rally Handbook" by Clint Goss for our novices.
